The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, fully divine and eternally one with the Father and the Son. Throughout Scripture, the Spirit is active in creation, revelation, empowering God's servants, and accomplishing God's purposes. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would dwell within His followers, guide them into truth, and empower them for His mission. Following Pentecost, the Spirit's indwelling presence became a defining reality of the Christian life. He convicts of sin, brings spiritual life, produces godly character, gives spiritual gifts, and continually directs believers toward Jesus Christ.
The Image of God
The image of God is the biblical teaching that human beings were uniquely created to reflect God and represent Him within creation. Genesis declares that God created humanity "in his own image," giving every human life a distinctive dignity and value. Although sin has profoundly damaged humanity's ability to reflect God's character, the divine image has not been erased. The New Testament presents Jesus Christ as the perfect image of God and teaches that those who belong to Him are being renewed to increasingly reflect His character. The image of God therefore helps explain both humanity's unique place within creation and the extraordinary value Scripture assigns to every person.
