Readers of the Bible are taken on a tour of the middle east, north Africa and southern Europe.
Old Testament history takes us from Ur in southern Mesopotamia, to Haran in southern Anatolia (modern Turkey) and on to the Levant.
In early Christian times the knowledge of the gospel travels from Palestine to Asia Minor, the islands of the eastern Mediterranean, Greece and Italy, (in the Roman Empire). Our understanding of religious history is made more complete by a knowledge of the locations in which lives were lived and the various events took place.
Use the "Name" field to filter the alphabetic list of locations by name. (Note: Images in the list and on each detail page can be enlarged for viewing by clicking on them.)
