The Las Lajas Sanctuary is often referred to as the “Las Lajas Shrine” and is officially known as the “National Shrine Basilica of Our Lady of Las Lajas” or “Basílica Santuario Nacional de Nuestra Señora de las Lajas.” It’s located inside a canyon of the Guáitara River near the city of Ipiales in the Colombian Department of Nariño in the utmost southwestern corner of this South American country.

The Saint Gregory the Great Cathedral Parish ( Parokyang Katedral ni San Gregorio Magno), also known as Legazpi Cathedral and locally as Albay Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral dedicated to Saint Gregory the Great. The mission in the area was founded by the Franciscans in 1587. The first church of nipa and lumber was constructed which was placed under the patronage of Saint Gregory the Great, the pope of the Catholic Church from 590 to 604.
