Jerusalem the Golden - the text was translated from part of a satiric poem, "De Contemptu Mundi" by the twelfth-century monk Bernard of Cluny around 1145AD. Revisions were later made by John Mason Neale in 1849, which is the text that is more familiar today.
The tune was composed by Alexander Ewing.
1 Jerusalem the golden,
with milk and honey blest,
beneath your contemplation
sink heart and voice oppressed;
I know not, O I know not
what joys await me there,
what radiancy of glory,
what bliss beyond compare!

2 They stand, those halls of Zion,
all jubilant with song,
and bright with many an angel,
and all the martyr throng;
the Prince is ever in them;
the daylight is serene;
the pastures of the blessed
are decked in glorious sheen.
3 There is the throne of David;
and there, from care released,
the shout of those who triumph,
the song of those who feast;
and they, who with their Leader
have conquered in the fight,
forever and forever
are clad in robes of white.

4 O sweet and blessed country,
the home of God's elect!
O sweet and blessed country,
that eager hearts expect!
In mercy, Jesus, bring us
to that dear land of rest,
who are, with God the Father,
and Spirit, ever blessed.

LYRICS:
Can you hear Jerusalem's cry?
Can you see the storm on the rise?
Look around, you can't deny
This is the hour of heaven's time
Armies gather in the East
For the war that's soon to come
Death will march with the mark of the beast
So seek the light and walk with the Son

Soon we'll see His wrath come down
And the Lord descending from the sky
When you hear the trumpet sound
God has answered Jerusalem's cry

When the sun goes black
And the moon blood red
And the stars fall from the sky
The Word of God in the Bible, says
"We're living in the end times"

Soon we'll see His wrath come down
And the Lord descending from the sky
When you hear the trumpet sound
God has answered Jerusalem's cry
God has answered Jerusalem's cry

Soon the dead in Christ will rise
And join Him in the sky
And even unbelievers will see
God has answered Jerusalem's cry
God has answered Jerusalem's cry

"Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" is the popular English title of the chorale from the 1723 Advent cantata" Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben" (Heart and Mouth and Deed and Life), BWV 147, by Johann Sebastian Bach. The chorale occurs twice in the cantata, with different texts each time (neither of which matches the English): as its sixth movement, "Wohl mir, dass ich Jesum habe" (It is well for me that I have Jesus), and again as its tenth movement, "Jesus bleibet meine Freude" (Jesus Remains My Joy). The English title derives from famous piano transcriptions made by Myra Hess, in 1926 for piano solo and in 1934 for piano duet.
Whether played instrumentally or sung in German or English, the chorale is often heard at weddings and during Advent, Christmas, and Easter.

ENGLISH LYRICS:
Jesus, joy of man's desiring
Holy wisdom, love most bright
Drawn by Thee, our souls aspiring
Soar to uncreated light

Word of God, our flesh that fashioned
With the fire of life impassioned
Striving still to truth unknown
Soaring, dying round Thy throne Jesus, joy of man's desiring

Holy wisdom, love most bright
Drawn by Thee, our souls aspiring
Soar to uncreated light

Striving still to truth unknown
Soaring, dying round Thy throne

LYRICS:
There is a truth older than the ages
There is a promise of things yet to come
There is one born for our salvation
Jesus

There is a light that overwhelms the darkness
There is a kingdom that forever reigns
There is freedom from the chains that bind us
Jesus, Jesus

Who walks on the waters
Who speaks to the sea
Who stands in the fire beside me
He roars like a lion
He bled as the Lamb
He carries my healing in His hands
Jesus

There is a name I call in times of trouble
There is a song that comforts in the night
There is a voice that calms the storm that rages
He is Jesus, Jesus

Who walks on the waters
Who speaks to the sea
Who stands in the fire beside me
He roars like a lion
He bled as the Lamb
He carries my healing in His hands
Jesus

Messiah
My Savior
There is power in Your name
You're my rock and my Redeemer
There is power in Your name
In Your name

You walk on the waters
You speak to the sea
You stand in the fire beside me
You roar like a lion
You bled as the Lamb
You carry my healing in Your hands

God, You walk on the waters
You speak to the sea
You stand in the fire beside me
You roar like a lion
You bled as the Lamb
You carry my healing in Your hands

Jesus, there is no one like You
Jesus, there is no one like You

LYRICS:
Ooh, superstar
Never drove around in a fancy car
Kids looked at me funny
Momma she had no money but she always told me
"Baby, know who you are"
I say ooh, don't you know
It was hard always wearing my cousin's clothes
Can you hand me down a dream
With those hand-me-down jeans?
Thought I'd never make, but I made it y'all, 'cause I had...

Jesus
When I had nothing, had to struggle, and was up to no good
Jesus
The reason I'm still breathing is 'cause
Jesus
Jesus
Jesus
It's crazy how you love me even
When I don't love you like I should
Jesus
Jesus
Jesus

Ooh, look at me
I know I'm now all I'm supposed to be
I'm gonna get it right, didn't get here overnight
So while you're waiting please wait patiently
I say ooh, it's so sweet to know that you
Were always in love with me
Thought my game was clever, but no one can play me better than you
You know you always win cause you're

Jesus
When I had nothing, had to struggle, and was up to no good
Jesus
The reason I'm still breathing is 'cause
Jesus
Jesus
Jesus
I's crazy how you love me even when I don't love you like I should
Jesus
Jesus
Jesus

Ooh
When I think about your name I go
Ooh
How you took away my pain I go Ooh
Every night at the club
Ain't no wife at the club
That Jesus he be showing me love
They said I wasn't gon' make it Kirk
I know how that sound
It's only by His grace I can say 'look at me now' If you love this joint right here
I want you to call your radio station in the morning
And I want you to tell'em Hey Mr. DJ
Can you play my favorite song? (Will you play my favorite?)
I heard it say it's gonna get better We gon make it out the hood someday
Hey Mr. DJ
I wanna hear that songabout Jesus
I heard my mama crying, I gotta let her know He's gonna wipe her tears away
You are listening to the sound of a brotha who should be dead right now
But I'm so glad God didn't give up on me!
Ain't you glad he didn't give up on you?
What's His name?
Jesus
When I had nothing, had to struggle, and was up to no good
Jesus
The reason I'm still breathing is 'cause
Jesus
Jesus
Jesus
I's crazy how you love me even when I don't love you like I should
Jesus
Jesus
Jesus

LYRICS:
Oh, how I need your grace
More than my words can say
Jesus, I come
Jesus, I come
In all my weaknesses
You are my confidence
Jesus, I come
Jesus, I come

I will rise, stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring

Oh, what amazing love
We need your cleansing flood
Jesus, I come
Jesus, I come
In every broken place
You are my righteousness
Jesus, I come
Jesus, I come

And I will rise, stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring

I will rise, stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring
Oh-oh-oh

Thank you, Jesus
Just as I am I come
Hallelujah
Oh, what amazing love
Thank you, Jesus
Just as I am I come
(Just as we are)
Hallelujah
Oh, what amazing love

Thank you, Jesus
Just as I am I come
Hallelujah
Oh, what amazing love
Thank you, Jesus
Just as I am I come
Hallelujah
Oh, what amazing love

I will rise, stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring

And I will rise, stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring

"Jesus Christ the Apple Tree" (also known as Apple Tree and, in its early publications, as Christ Compared to an Apple-tree) is a poem, possibly intended for use as a carol, written in the 18th century. It has been set to music by a number of composers, including Jeremiah Ingalls (1764–1838), Elizabeth Poston (1905–1987) and John Rutter.
The song may be an allusion to both the apple tree in Song of Solomon 2:3 which has been interpreted as a metaphor representing Jesus, and to his description of his life as a tree of life in Luke 13:18–19 and elsewhere in the New Testament including Revelation 22:1–2 and within the Old Testament in Genesis. Apple trees were commonly grown in England and there was an old English tradition of wassailing or wishing health to apple trees on Christmas Eve. The song is now performed by choirs around the world, especially during the Christmas season as a Christmas carol.
LYRICS:
The tree of life my soul hath seen,
Laden with fruit and always green;
The trees of nature fruitless be,
Compared with Christ the Apple Tree.

His beauty doth all things excel,
By faith I know but ne'er can tell
The glory which I now can see,
In Jesus Christ the Appletree.

For happiness I long have sought,
And pleasure dearly I have bought;
I missed of all but now I see
'Tis found in Christ the Appletree.

I'm weary with my former toil -
Here I will sit and rest awhile,
Under the shadow I will be,
Of Jesus Christ the Appletree.

With great delight I’ll make my stay,
There’s none shall fright my soul away;
Among the sons of men I see
There’s none like Christ the Appletree.

I’ll sit and eat this fruit divine,
It cheers my heart like spirit’al wine;
And now this fruit is sweet to me,
That grows on Christ the Appletree.

This fruit doth make my soul to thrive,
It keeps my dying faith alive;
Which makes my soul in haste to be
With Jesus Christ the Appletree.
