God's Sovereignty

The sovereignty of God describes His supreme authority, power, and rule over all creation. Nothing exists outside His dominion, and no person, nation, or event can ultimately defeat His purposes. Scripture portrays God as directing history while human beings continue to make meaningful choices for which they are responsible. God's sovereignty does not mean that everything that happens is good, nor does it make Him the author of evil. Rather, it assures believers that even in a world affected by sin and suffering, God remains in control and is able to accomplish His purposes.

God's Wrath

The wrath of God is His holy and righteous response to sin, rebellion, and evil. Unlike human anger, which can be impulsive, selfish, or unjust, God's wrath flows from His perfect holiness and justice. Scripture portrays God as patient and compassionate, repeatedly offering opportunities for repentance before judgment comes. The New Testament reveals both the seriousness of divine wrath against sin and God's remarkable provision of salvation through Jesus Christ. At the cross, Christ bears judgment on behalf of sinners, offering reconciliation to those who place their faith in Him.
