LYRICS:
With this heart open wide
From the depths from the heights
I will bring a sacrifice
With these hands lifted high
Hear my song, hear my cry
I will bring a sacrifice
I will bring a sacrifice

I lay me down I'm not my own
I belong to You alone
Lay me down, lay me down
Oh, oh, hand on my heart this much is true
There's no life apart from You
Lay me down, lay me down

Letting go of my pride
Giving up all my rights
Take this life and let it shine, shine, shine
Take this life and let it shine

I lay me down I'm not my own
I belong to You alone
Lay me down, lay me down
Oh, oh, hand on my heart this much is true
There's no life apart from You
Lay me down, lay me down
Oh, oh
Lay me down, lay me down

It will be my joy to say
Your will
Your way
It will be my joy to say
Your will
Your way

It will be my joy to say
Your will
Your way
Always

It will be my joy to say
Your will
Your way
It will be my joy to say
Your will
Your way

It will be my joy to say
Your will
Your way
Always

I lay me down I'm not my own
I belong to You alone
Lay me down, lay me down
Oh, oh, hand on my heart this much is true
There's no life apart from You
Lay me down, lay me down

Oh, oh
Lay me down, lay me down
Oh, oh
Lay me down, lay me down

LYRICS:
Glory glory, hallelujah
Since I lay my burden down
Glory glory, hallelujah
Since I lay my burden down

Ain't gonna have no pain or sorrow
When I lay my burden down
Ain't gonna have no pain or sorrow
When I lay my burden down

I'm gonna see my Lord and Savior
When I lay my burden down
I'm gonna see my Lord and Savior
When I lay my burden down

All my sickness will be over
When I lay my burden down
All my sickness will be over
When I lay my burden down

All my troubles will be over
When I lay my burden down
All my troubles will be over
When I lay my burden down

Lord, I'm feeling so much better
Since I lay my burden down
Lord, I'm feeling so much better
Since I lay my burden down

Sometimes I feel, I feel like shouting
Since I lay my burden down
Sometimes I feel, I feel like shouting
Since I lay my burden down

I decided to follow Jesus
When I laid my burden down
Yes I decided to follow Jesus
When I laid my burden down

I am climbing so much higher
Since I laid my burden down
Yes I'm climbing so much higher
Since I laid my burden down

I will see all my loved ones
When I lay my burden down
I will see all my loved ones
When I lay my burden down

I'm gonna shout and sang forever
When I lay my burden down
I'm gonna shout and sang forever
When I lay my burden down

LYRICS:
I look around and see my wonderful life
Almost perfect from the outside
In picture frames, I see my beautiful wife
Always smiling, but on the inside
Oh, I can hear her saying

Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can't
Don't leave me hungry for love
Chasing dreams, but what about us
Show me you're willing to fight
That I'm still the love of your life
I know we call this our home
But I still feel alone

I see their faces, look in their innocent eyes
They're just children from the outside
I'm working hard, I tell myself
"They'll be fine, they're independent"
But on the inside
Oh, I can hear them saying

Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can't
Don't leave me hungry for love
Chasing dreams, but what about us
Show me you're willing to fight
That I'm still the love of your life
I know we call this our home
But I still feel alone

So Father, give me the strength
To be everything I'm called to be
Oh, Father, show me the way to lead them
Won't You lead me?

To lead them with strong hands
To stand up when they can't
Don't want to leave them hungry for love
Chasing things that I could give up
I'll show them I'm willing to fight
And give them the best of my life
So we can call this a home
Lead me, 'cause I can't do this alone
Father, lead me, 'cause I can't do this alone

An inspiring song that beautifully captures the essence of trusting in God's plan for your life. With its heartfelt lyrics and soulful melody, this song encourages us to surrender our worries and follow God's lead with faith and confidence.

LYRICS:
Saviour I come
Quiet my soul
Remember (yeah)
Redemptions hill
Where Your blood was spilled
From my ransom
And everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost

Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord, I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
Lead me, lead me to the cross

You were as I
Tempted and tried
Human
The word became flesh
Bore my sin and death
Now You're risen

Everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost

Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
And bring me to my knees
Lord, I lay me down
And rid me of myself
I belong to You
Oh, lead me, lead me to the cross

To Your heart
To Your heart
Lead me to Your heart
Lead me to Your heart

Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord, I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
Oh, lead me, lead me to the cross

Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord, I lay me down
Oh, rid my of myself
I belong to You
Oh lead me, lead me to the cross

"Lead, Kindly Light, Amid the encircling gloom" is a hymn with words written in 1833 by John Henry Newman as a poem titled "the Pillar of the Cloud"
There have been several tunes used with the lyrics:

Alberta – William H. Harris
Sandon – Charles H. Purday
Lux Benigna – J.B. Dykes
The first musical setting of "Lead, Kindly Light" was the hymn tune Lux Benigna, specially composed for the hymn by John Bacchus Dykes. Newman ascribed the popularity of the hymn to Dykes' tune. The hymn was later set to the tune Bonifacio by David Evans. When the hymn was republished it was set to a tune by William Henry Harris entitled Alberta, which he had composed in 1924 on a train crossing Canada. The theologian David Brown notes that Lux Benigna has been criticised for its Victorian sentimentality, and that Dykes' once-popular tune has fallen out of favour, while Harris's Alberta has gained popularity.

LYRICS:
Trying and tripping and torn
Reaching for more, but coming up less
Why are my memories of
You as the judge, me as the mess
I want the medal, don't want to settle
I want the victory lap, you in the stands
Why is it hard to believe
You just want me just as I am

I could stand, I could fall
You want all of me
I could run, I could crawl
You will always be
You're not impressed with all of my best
Not disappointed when I don't land on my feet
In everything, you are asking me to lean

When did we learn to perform
To need the encore, to know who we are
When did we forget our place
Is not on a stage, but safe in your arms
When will I let go, be still and just know
When will I see, when will I just believe

I could stand, I could fall
You want all of me
I could run, I could crawl
You will always be
You're not impressed with all of my best
Not disappointed when I don't land on my feet
In everything, you are asking me to lean

You ask me to trust
When You say I was enough
You made me lean

I could stand, I could fall
You want all of me
I could run, I could crawl
You will always be
You're not impressed with all of my best
Not disappointed when I don't land on my feet
In everything, you are asking me to lean

LYRICS:
[Intro: Kirk Franklin]
This is for that little child with no father
For that man that doesn't have a place to stay
For that little boy living with AIDS
[R. Kelly] Can I tell you a story, tell you a story
[Kirk] You can lean on me

[Verse 1: R. Kelly]
There's a man
Standing on the corner
He has no home
He has no food
And his blue skies are gone
Can't you hear him cryin' out

[Verse 2: Crystal Lewis]
And there's a girl
Searching for a father and a friend
Praying that the storm someday will end
But instead of walking away
Open up your heart and say

[Hook: Choir]
I, am here
You don't have to worry
I can see, your tears
I'll be there in a hurry when you call
[Choir] Friends are there to catch you when you fall
[Choir] Here's my shoulder, you can lean on me

[Verse 3: Mary J. Blige]
Oh, there's a child
Who is sick and begging to be free
But there is no cure for his disease
He looks up to his mother and

[Verse 4: Choir/Bono/Kirk Franklin]
[Choir] As she holds, his hand
[Bono] Praying that someday
The sun will shine again
[Kirk] And the pain?
[Choir] And the pain, will end
[Kirk] Pain will end (come on)

[Chorus] (with Mary J. Blige ad-libs)

[Bridge:]
[R. Kelly] Tell me, how can I, how can I love Jesus
When I've never seen His face?
[Bono] Yeah, I see you dying
[Crystal Lewis] And I turn and walk away
[Crystal] So hold my hand
[Bono] Let me take you to a friend of mine
[Dalon Collins] He's waiting just to ease your troubled mind
[Kirk] Yeah, yeah, He loves you more than you'll ever know
[Bono] 'Stead of walking away
[Kirk] Open up
[Crystal Lewis] Open up your heart and say
[Kirk] Come on

LYRICS:
Leaning on the everlasting arms

What a fellowship
What a joy divine
Leaning on the everlasting arms
What a blessedness
What a peace is mine
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Leaning, leaning
Safe and secure from all alarm
Leaning, leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Oh, how sweet to walk
In this pilgrim way
Leaning on the everlasting arms
Oh, how bright the path
Grows from day to day
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Leaning, leaning
Safe and secure from all alarm
Leaning, leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms

What have I to dread?
What have I to fear?
Leaning on the everlasting arms
I have blessed peace
With my Lord so near
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Leaning, leaning
Safe and secure from all alarm
Leaning, leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Leaning, leaning
Safe and secure from all alarm
Leaning, leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Leaning on the Everlasting Arms is a hymn published in 1887 with music by Anthony J. Showalter and lyrics by Showalter and Elisha Hoffman. It is most commonly played on the scale of A-flat major.

Showalter said that he received letters from two of his former pupils saying that their wives had died. When writing letters of consolation, Showalter was inspired by the phrase in the Book of Deuteronomy 33:27, "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms".
LYRICS:
What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Refrain:

Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.

O how sweet to walk, In this pilgrim way,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Refrain

What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Alternate version

There is an alternate version of the refrain, typically sung by basses:

Leaning on Jesus, leaning on Jesus, safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning on Jesus, leaning on Jesus, leaning on the everlasting arms.

LYRICS:
What a fellowship, What a joy divine
Leaning on the everlasting arms
What a blessedness, what a peace that's mine
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Lord I'm leaning, leaning
Safe and secure from all alarms
Leaning, leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Oh how sweet to walk in the pilgrim way
Leaning on the everlasting arms
Oh how bright the path grows from day to day
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Oh I'm leaning, leaning
Safe and secure from all alarms
Leaning, leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms

What have I to dread
What have I to fear
Leaning on the everlasting arms
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Oh I'm leaning, leaning
Safe and secure from all alarms
Leaning, oh I'm leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Jesus, Jesus how I trust you
How I proved you o'er and o'er
Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus
Oh for Grace to trust Him more

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to take Him at His word
Just to rest upon his promise
Just to know, thus saith the Lord

Jesus, Jesus how I trust Him
How I proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus
Oh for grace to trust Him more
