Confectionaries were makers of perfumes and compounded spices. They are mentioned among the officials whom Israel’s king could require for royal service (1 Samuel 8:13).
Confession

Confession is the acknowledgment or declaration of truth, faith, or sin. Scripture calls people to confess faith in Christ, confess sins to God, and acknowledge wrongs to those they have offended.
CONFIDENCE

Confidence is firm trust or bold assurance. Scripture commends confidence in God, but warns against placing ultimate trust in riches, human rulers, or self-reliance.
CONFOUND
Sin & Judgment - Both
To confound is to bewilder, confuse, defeat, or put to shame. The Bible uses the term for confused speech, humbled enemies, and people brought into shame or perplexity.

The congregation was the assembled people of Israel as a holy community. It gathered for worship, receiving God’s commands, national decisions, and solemn assemblies, often at the tabernacle.

The Mount of Congregation in Isaiah 14:13 is part of the proud king of Babylon’s imagined ascent to heaven and fellowship with the gods. His boast is overturned when he is brought down to Sheol.

The “mount of the congregation” in Isaiah 14:13 is most naturally understood as the mythological mountain where Babylon’s gods were believed to assemble. It expresses the king of Babylon’s proud, heathen ambition.
Coniah

CONQUEROR

A conqueror is one who gains victory over an enemy. Romans 8:37 speaks of believers as “more than conquerors” through the One who loved them, describing a complete and enduring victory.
Conscience

Conscience is the inward faculty by which a person recognizes and evaluates right and wrong. Scripture says it may be defiled or hardened, but believers should seek a conscience clear before God.
Consecration

Consecration is the setting apart of a person, possession, or offering for God’s worship and service. Israel’s firstborn, the Levites, and various offerings were consecrated under the law; Christians are called God’s holy people.
CONSENT
Christian Life - Both
Consent is agreement, approval, or willing compliance with another’s direction. It may also describe mutual agreement between equal parties, as when believers act together by consent.
CONSIDER
Christian Life - Both
To consider is to look closely, examine, or give serious thought to something. Scripture calls people to observe God’s works, reflect carefully, and regard faithful examples with reverence.
CONSIST
Jesus Christ - New Testament
To consist means to stand together, exist, or continue. Colossians teaches that all things consist in Christ, whose sustaining rule preserves the created order.
Consolation of Israel
Jesus Christ - New Testament
The Consolation of Israel was a Jewish title for the promised Messiah. Simeon was waiting for this consolation when he saw the infant Jesus in the temple (Luke 2:25).
CONSORT
People & Groups - New Testament
To consort is to associate or unite with others, literally to cast one’s lot with them. In Acts 17:4 it describes people who joined Paul and Silas.
Constellation

A constellation is a recognized group or pattern of stars. Isaiah 13:10 and Job refer to the constellation Orion, using it in descriptions of God’s judgments and mighty works.

To consult is to ask, inquire, seek advice, or deliberate about a course of action. Scripture uses the word for seeking counsel from others, planning together, or wrongly consulting forbidden spiritual powers.
CONSUME

To consume is to eat up, use completely, destroy, finish, or waste away. Scripture applies the word to food, possessions, people, and God’s consuming judgment.
