Adriel

Adriel was the son of Barzillai and husband of Merab, Saul’s daughter. His five sons were among those handed over to the Gibeonites.

Adullam was an ancient city of Judah and a place fortified by Rehoboam. David also took refuge in the nearby cave, where distressed and discontented men gathered around him.

To adventure is to risk or dare an undertaking involving danger. Paul’s friends urged him not to venture into the theater at Ephesus.
Adversary
Angels & Spiritual Beings - Both
An adversary is an opponent, enemy, accuser, or one who resists another. In Scripture the term can describe human opponents and, especially, the devil as the accuser of believers.
ADVERSITY
Christian Life - Both
Adversity refers to distress, affliction, misfortune, or harmful circumstances. Biblical examples include poverty, oppression, war, sorrow, and persecution.
ADVERTISE
Other - Old Testament
In older English, to advertise meant to advise or inform. Balaam used the word when telling Balak what would happen, and Boaz used it when informing Ruth’s nearer kinsman.
Advocate
Jesus Christ - New Testament
An advocate pleads another’s cause or provides help. Jesus Christ is the believer’s Advocate with the Father, while the Holy Spirit is likewise called the Helper or Advocate sent to Christ’s followers.

Aegypt is an alternate form of Egypt, the ancient land frequently mentioned in Scripture.

Affinity is a relationship formed by marriage or alliance. Scripture uses the term for marriage alliances and regulates relationships formed through marriage.

Affliction is bodily pain, mental distress, oppression, or trouble. Scripture presents suffering as sometimes punitive, but also as a test, discipline, purification, or occasion for faithful and redemptive endurance, supremely seen in Christ.
