Maachathi
The Maachathites were inhabitants of the small Syrian kingdom of Maacah, near Geshur and Mount Hermon.
Biblical Usage
The Maachathites are mentioned among the peoples whose territory remained in Israel’s midst and among groups involved in later military events. They appear in the accounts of Israel’s eastern territories, David’s warriors, and the people living near Gilead.
