Multiplication of Ministry Week

To Our Heartlight and Verse Of The Day Community:

This week we're celebrating a rare milestone: 30 years of online ministry!

In 1996, Phil Ware and Paul Lee launched Heartlight.org trusting that God could use the internet to bless and encourage people. At the time, many felt the internet was a fad or had no idea what it was. What started small has reached far beyond anything we could have planned.

Thirty years later, through every shift in technology and culture, Heartlight has steadfastly continued, showing up in inboxes and feeds around the world, helping people live for Jesus every day. Daily devotionals and articles read and shared by millions of people. Countless lives shaped in ways we may never fully know or see this side of heaven.

That's why this week we're looking back with gratitude and looking ahead with purpose. Not just to mark a milestone, but to share what God has been doing through this ministry and where that work is headed.

We're calling this our Multiplication of Ministry week, because that's what we've watched God do: take what was planted thirty years ago and multiply it across 190 countries and 15 languages in ways we never expected. And we believe He's still at work, preparing new ways forward that we want to share with you. We see our ministry flowing forward as three distinct forms of living water:

The Well: Heartlight.org

The Stream: Verse of the Day
Your continued source for daily Scripture and where our new offerings and developments will live moving forward.

The Spring: JESUShaped
A discipleship and church planting movement multiplying leaders and house churches across the globe.

Each day this week we'll share more about each of these expressions, their futures, and how they're continuing to impact lives around the world through the power of the Holy Spirit and your support:

Tuesday: Phil will look back on thirty years of Heartlight.org, celebrating the people and stories that shaped this ministry, and sharing how Heartlight.org will be preserved as a lasting resource for years to come.

Wednesday: Ben will share about the future of Verse of the Day, how it continues daily, and what's ahead as it grows into its next chapter.

Thursday: We'll introduce JESUShaped, a new ministry focused on discipleship and church planting that grows directly from seeds Heartlight planted around the world.

Friday: We'll wrap up the Multiplication of Ministry week, recapping how everything fits together and answering any remaining questions.

Thank you for being a crucial part of what this ministry has been, what it is today, and what it's becoming. We're exceedingly grateful for your support and readership. We're excited to continue this work with you and for His glory.
