Psalm 22:27-28 looks beyond the individual sufferer's deliverance to a worldwide result: all the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all families of the nations will worship before Him because kingship belongs to the LORD. The psalm therefore moves from personal anguish to universal divine rule and worship.

Colossians 1:16 declares that all things were created through Christ and for Him, establishing His cosmic supremacy. Although Paul does not quote Psalm 22:27-28 there, the passage is consistent with the universal reign envisioned by the psalm. The strongest fulfillment is thematic: the vindicated Messiah's saving work leads to worldwide worship, while the New Testament presents Christ as Lord over all creation and the One through whom people from the nations are reconciled to God.
