Zechariah 10:4 says that from Judah will come the cornerstone, alongside other images of strong and effective leadership. Ephesians 2:20 calls Christ Jesus the cornerstone of God's new household. Paul does not quote Zechariah here, and cornerstone imagery also appears elsewhere in the Old Testament, especially Isaiah 28:16 and Psalm 118:22. The connection is therefore a genuine biblical motif rather than an exclusive direct citation of Zechariah 10:4.
The explanation preserves Zechariah's original prophetic setting while distinguishing explicit New Testament quotation from broader Christian typological or theological application.
