Psalm 102:25-27 addresses the LORD as the Creator who laid the foundations of the earth and made the heavens. Creation will wear out and change, but God remains the same and His years have no end. The passage is one of the Old Testament's strong declarations of divine eternality and immutability.

Hebrews 1:10-12 quotes these verses and applies them directly to the Son. This is a highly significant Christological use of the Old Testament: language originally addressed to the LORD as eternal Creator is applied by Hebrews to Jesus. The passage therefore supports more than the claim that Messiah existed before His human birth. It presents the Son as the unchanging Creator whose existence transcends creation itself, forming an important biblical foundation for the Christian confession of Christ's preexistence and deity.
