Biography
Genesis 36 and 1 Chronicles 1 list Zibeon among the Horites or descendants of Seir and also connect him genealogically with Anah and Oholibamah, Esau's wife. Genesis 36 contains compressed genealogical material whose terminology and relationships require care. Scripture provides little personal narrative concerning Zibeon.
Biblical Significance
Zibeon's importance is genealogical within the Horite and Edomite background of Esau's family. His record should avoid reconstructing relationships more precisely than the biblical genealogies permit.
