Mizraim was a son of Ham and ancestral figure associated with Egypt in the Table of Nations.
Biography
Genesis 10 and 1 Chronicles 1 list Mizraim among Ham's sons. The Hebrew name Mizraim is the ordinary biblical designation for Egypt, and Genesis traces several peoples from him. Scripture gives no personal narrative about the ancestral individual.
Biblical Significance
Mizraim is especially important because the ancestral name became the biblical Hebrew name for Egypt. His record should therefore crosslink strongly with Egypt while distinguishing person from place.
