Biography
During Absalom's rebellion, David sent the priests Zadok and Abiathar back to Jerusalem, while their sons Ahimaaz and Jonathan served as messengers. They carried intelligence from Hushai to David despite being discovered and pursued. In 1 Kings 1 Jonathan later arrived at Adonijah's feast with news that David had made Solomon king, abruptly ending Adonijah's celebration.
Biblical Significance
