Jair was a judge of Israel from Gilead who judged for twenty-two years and whose thirty sons controlled thirty towns.
Biography
Judges 10 says Jair the Gileadite arose after Tola and judged Israel twenty-two years. His thirty sons rode thirty donkeys and possessed thirty towns in Gilead, known as Havvoth-jair. Jair died and was buried at Kamon.
