Biography
When David fled Jerusalem, Hushai wished to accompany him, but David sent him back to frustrate Ahithophel's advice. Hushai successfully persuaded Absalom to delay immediate pursuit of David, buying David time to cross the Jordan and prepare. He then communicated the danger through the priests Zadok and Abiathar and their sons.
