Biography

Exodus 6, Numbers 3, and 1 Chronicles list Hebron among the sons of Kohath, alongside Amram, Izhar, and Uzziel. His descendants, the Hebronites, formed a recognized Levitical clan and later held administrative and religious responsibilities in David's organization. This person should be distinguished from the important city of Hebron.

Biblical Significance

Hebron is significant as an ancestor within the Kohathite branch of Levi. Careful crosslinking is needed because the biblical place named Hebron is far more prominent than the individual.
