Bible Figure
Casluhim
ancient Egyptian people mentioned in the Bible and related literature (Genesis 10)
Casluhim is a people or lineage descended from Mizraim in the Table of Nations, not a narrated individual person.
Biography
Genesis 10:13-14 and 1 Chronicles 1:12 list the Casluhim among descendants of Mizraim. Genesis associates this genealogical cluster with the origin of the Philistines, though the exact syntax involving Casluhim and Caphtorim has been discussed. Scripture supplies no personal acts or biography for an individual named Casluhim.
Biblical Significance
Casluhim belongs in the Table of Nations as a people-group designation. This record should be treated corporately and not given an invented individual biography.
