Bithiah was a daughter of Pharaoh named in 1 Chronicles as the wife of Mered; Scripture does not explicitly identify her with the princess who rescued Moses.
Biography
First Chronicles 4:18 names Bithiah daughter of Pharaoh in a compressed genealogy involving Mered and his family. The Exodus narrative, by contrast, calls Moses' rescuer simply 'Pharaoh's daughter' and never gives her a name. Later Jewish tradition has often identified Bithiah with Moses' adoptive mother, but the canonical Bible itself does not make that connection.
Biblical Significance
Bithiah is a biblical woman connected with Judah's genealogy and the Egyptian royal house. AVWJ should not state as fact that she rescued Moses; that is a later traditional identification.
