Admatha

Biography

Esther 1 names Admatha among seven princes of Persia and Media who had access to King Ahasuerus and ranked highly in the kingdom. They were consulted after Queen Vashti refused the king's command to appear at his banquet. Memucan gave the response recorded in detail; no individual speech or further action is attributed to Admatha.

Biblical Significance

Admatha provides part of the Persian court setting of Esther. Scripture records his office but no independent biography.
