Zebulun
Zebulun was the sixth son of Jacob and Leah and the ancestor of one of Israel’s tribes. His descendants received territory in northern Canaan and were noted for courage in Israel’s battles.
Biblical Usage
The tribe of Zebulun received an inheritance in northern Canaan. Its people fought with notable courage beside Naphtali in the struggle against Sisera, assisted David at Hebron, and later responded to Hezekiah’s religious appeal.
