Zebul
Zebul was the governor or deputy ruler of Shechem under Abimelech. He reported a revolt led by Gaal and helped Abimelech defeat the city’s opposition.
Biblical Usage
Zebul advised Abimelech to attack Shechem. When Gaal saw Abimelech’s forces, Zebul challenged him, and Gaal was defeated and driven from the city.
