WIND
Wind is moving air, including ordinary breezes, seasonal winds, storms, and desert blasts. Scripture also uses it as a picture of God’s power, judgment, uncertainty, transience, and the work of the Spirit.
Biblical Usage
Scripture uses wind to portray God’s power, scattering and destruction, uncertainty, brevity, and nothingness. Wind also serves as a sign of weather, aids the farmer in winnowing grain, enables sailing, and can cause shipwreck.
