TEKOA

Tekoa was a town of Judah south of Bethlehem and the home of the prophet Amos. It was associated with David’s warriors, the wise woman sent to David, Rehoboam’s fortifications, and the wilderness where Jehoshaphat prepared for battle.
Biblical Usage
A wise woman of Tekoa was brought by Joab to seek reconciliation between David and Absalom. A Tekoite served among David’s mighty men, and other Tekoites repaired Jerusalem’s wall.
