TATTLER
A tattler is a foolish or idle talker. The term in 1 Timothy describes people who go from house to house speaking unnecessarily rather than living responsibly.
Biblical Usage
The term occurs in the description of certain younger widows who went from house to house, becoming idle and speaking things they ought not. The biblical contrast is between such foolish talk and responsible Christian conduct.
