Tabor, The Plain Of
“The plain of Tabor” is probably an incorrect translation of “the oak of Tabor.” It was a landmark on Saul’s journey home after Samuel anointed him.
Biblical Usage
The oak of Tabor is mentioned once, in the account of Saul’s homeward journey after Samuel anointed him. Saul was directed to pass this landmark on his way.
