STAR OF THE MAGI
The Star of the Magi was the sign that led the wise men from the East to the birthplace of Jesus. The Gospel emphasizes its divine guidance to the infant King rather than explaining its astronomical nature.
Biblical Usage
The Magi saw the star, came to Jerusalem to worship the King, and later saw it go before them and stand over the place where the child was. The star directed them to Bethlehem, while God warned them in a dream not to return to Herod.
