Shomer
Shomer was the name of an Asherite and is also used for the parent of Jehozabad, one of Joash’s assassins. The latter is elsewhere called Shimrith, a Moabite woman.
Biblical Usage
Shomer appears in the account connected with Jehozabad’s conspiracy against Joash and in the genealogy of Asher. The supplied material also identifies the Asherite Shomer with Shamer.
