RAB-SARIS
Rab-saris was a Babylonian or Assyrian title meaning chief eunuch or chief chamberlain. It designated a high official serving the king.
Biblical Usage
The title is used for an Assyrian officer sent with the Tartan and Rabshakeh against Jerusalem. It is also applied to Sarsechim and Nebushazban, Babylonian officials connected with the capture of Jerusalem and the release of Jeremiah.
