Onesiphorus
Onesiphorus was an Ephesian Christian who courageously sought out and refreshed Paul when the apostle was imprisoned in Rome. Paul remembered his kindness and greeted his household.
Biblical Usage
Paul contrasted Onesiphorus’s courage and service with the desertion of others. He greeted the household of Onesiphorus and prayed that the Lord would grant him mercy. The supplied material notes uncertainty about whether Onesiphorus was living when Paul wrote.
