Nabal

Nabal was a wealthy but harsh and foolish sheepmaster from Maon. He insulted David, but his wise wife Abigail prevented David from taking revenge; the Lord later struck Nabal, and he died.
Biblical Usage
Nabal’s account shows the danger of foolishness, harshness, and refusal of rightful kindness. Abigail’s wisdom prevented David from carrying out revenge, while Nabal’s death followed his wicked conduct. David later married Abigail.
