Linen is cloth made from flax, especially fine white Egyptian linen. It was used for clothing, priestly garments, curtains, shrouds, and as a symbol of purity.
Biblical Usage
Linen formed the clothing of priests and was associated with sacred service. It also appears in descriptions of burial cloths and is used symbolically for purity and righteousness.
