Laban
Laban was Rebekah’s brother and the father of Leah and Rachel. Jacob lived with him for many years and married his daughters. Laban also names a wilderness location mentioned in the account of Israel’s journey.
Biblical Usage
Laban received Abraham’s servant, influenced Rebekah’s marriage, and later employed Jacob, who lived with him for twenty years and married his daughters. The wilderness Laban is mentioned on Israel’s route.
