Kir
Kir was the place to which Tiglath-pileser carried the Arameans captive after conquering Damascus. It may have been a region or fortified place, but its exact location is uncertain.
Biblical Usage
The prophets refer to Kir as the destination of Aramean captivity and as the place from which the Lord had brought the Arameans. Isaiah mentions Kir together with Elam in a military setting.
