JOY
Joy is gladness and exultation arising from a pleasurable event, fellowship, or God’s saving work. Biblical joy comes from God and His salvation, is expressed in praise, and in Christ remains possible even amid suffering.
Biblical Usage
Scripture presents God as both the source and object of joy. In the New Testament, joy responds to the gospel, belongs to the life of the Spirit, remains possible amid suffering, and is associated with faith, hope, fellowship, salvation, and resurrection.
