Jeremias
Jeremias is the Greek form of Jeremiah. It may refer to the prophet Jeremiah or, in an intertestamental list, to a man who had married a foreign wife.
Biblical Usage
The Greek name is used of Jeremiah the prophet in the New Testament. In 1 Esdras it identifies one of the sons of Baani who had married a foreign wife.
