Jehovah-shalom
Jehovah-shalom means “the Lord is peace.” Gideon gave this name to the altar at Ophrah after the Lord assured him, “Peace be unto thee.”

The name recalls the Lord’s assurance of peace to Gideon and expresses that Jehovah is well disposed.
