Jehoram was the name of a king of Israel, a king of Judah, and several other men. The two kings were associated with the houses of Ahab and Jehoshaphat and were marked by conflicts, idolatry, and divine judgment.
Biblical Usage
The Israelite Jehoram fought Moab and Syria, received help from Elisha, but continued in idolatry and was killed by Jehu. The Judean Jehoram also practiced idolatry; Edom revolted, invaders brought calamity, and he died from a severe illness.
