Jahaz, Also Jahaza, Jahazah And Juhzah
Jahaz, Jahaza, Jahazah, and Juhzah are variant forms of the same town east of the Jordan. At Jahaz Israel defeated Sihon, and the town was later allotted to Reuben and the Merarite Levites.
Biblical Usage
Jahaz was the place of the decisive battle in which Israel defeated Sihon king of the Amorites. The town is also mentioned in connection with Reuben’s inheritance.
