Geshur
Geshur was a small Aramean kingdom east of the Jordan, near Bashan and Maacah. David married Maacah, daughter of its king Talmai, and Absalom later fled there.
Biblical Usage
David’s wife Maacah was the mother of Absalom and Tamar. After murdering Amnon, Absalom fled to Geshur, where he remained until Joab brought him back to Jerusalem. Geshurites and Aram are also associated with taking cities of Jair in Gilead.
