GERRENIANS
The Gerrenians were a people marking the southern limit of territory assigned to Judas Maccabeus. They may have been connected with the ancient city of Gerar southeast of Gaza.
Biblical Usage
They are mentioned in the account of Antiochus Eupator’s arrangement that Hegemonides should govern from Ptolemais to the Gerrenians.
