Geba
Geba was a Benjamite town and Levitical city near the northern boundary of Judah. It was associated with conflicts involving the Philistines and was later reoccupied after the exile.
Biblical Usage
Geba was held as a Philistine garrison during Saul’s reign until Jonathan expelled them. It was later fortified by Asa and appears among the towns reoccupied after the Exile. “From Geba to Beersheba” expressed the extent of Judah.
