Gaulanitis
Gaulanitis was the region named after Golan, a city of refuge east of the Jordan. In the New Testament period it included territory east of the Sea of Galilee and was ruled in part by Herod Antipas.

Gaulanitis is associated with the New Testament setting east of the Sea of Galilee. Bethsaida-Julias, one of its towns, is mentioned in the Gospel narrative.
