Galilee
Galilee was the northern division of Palestine, traditionally divided into Upper and Lower Galilee. It was the home of Jesus for much of His earthly life and the principal setting for much of His ministry.
Biblical Usage
Galilee was the principal setting of much of Jesus’ private life and public ministry. He called disciples there, taught there, performed many miracles, and delivered important discourses. The Gospels frequently present Galilee as the setting of His ministry.
