FURNITURE
Furniture may mean household goods, vessels, equipment, or sacred furnishings. The tabernacle’s furniture included the altar, laver, table, lampstand, incense altar, ark, and mercy-seat.
Biblical Usage
The Levites were appointed to care for the furniture and vessels of the tent of meeting. The term may also refer to household furnishings, costly goods, or the equipment carried on a ship.
