FORESKIN
The foreskin is the skin removed in circumcision, the covenant sign given to Abraham and practiced in Israel. Scripture also uses “uncircumcision” figuratively for Gentiles or hearts resistant to God.
Biblical Usage
Circumcision was given as a sign associated with Abraham and was performed on the eighth day. Scripture also uses circumcision figuratively for purity and obedience of heart, while uncircumcision can designate Gentiles or those opposed to God’s law. Outward circumcision without obedience is treated as insufficient.
