Flax
Flax was a cultivated plant whose fibers were processed into linen, cords, bands, and clothing. It was grown in Egypt and Palestine, and its stalks were dried and prepared for manufacture.
Biblical Usage
Flax appears in accounts of its cultivation, drying, processing, and use in linen garments and cords. It also provides the image of a dimly burning wick that is not quenched.
