FEMALE
Female is the biblical designation for the sex corresponding to male. Scripture presents women as accountable persons made by God, and the New Testament emphasizes the unity of male and female in Christ.
Biblical Usage
The Old Testament uses female in descriptions of human beings and animals and in language corresponding to male. Though Israelite law is described as containing social and religious disabilities affecting women, the New Testament declares that there is no religious distinction between male and female in Christ and emphasizes their unity before God.
